Kamanga appointed to Caf U-20 Organising Committee

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has been appointed as a member of the CAF U-20 African Championship Organising Committee.

He was appointed on Monday, 3rd October 2016 ahead of the 20th edition of the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Zambia from 26 February to 12 March 2017.

“We are very pleased to inform you that you have been designated as a member of CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Organizing Committee. Please accept our sincere congratulations on this appointment. We wish you success and enjoyment in your current and future activities for CAF and we are looking forward to your constructive cooperation,” said CAF Secretary General Hicham El Amrani in a communique addressed to the FAZ president made available to fazfootball.com on Tuesday.

Kamanga, the newest member of the organising committee, takes on additional responsibility from the continental football governing body seven months after he was elected FAZ president on 20th March 2016.

His presence on the committee will stand him in good stead ensure that Zambia organises a successful tournament next year.
