FAZ president in Cairo for Caf Extraordinary General Assembly

Football Association of Zambia president Andrew Kamanga is in Cairo for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Extraordinary General Assembly at which he participated in elections on Thursday for two extra African seats at the FIFA Council.

The FAZ Chief is part of the 54 member association presidents gathered in Cairo who voted in the election which was contested by Ahmad (Madagascar), Almamy Kabele Camara (Guinea), Kwesi Nyantakyi (Ghana) and Augustin Senghor (Senegal).

Caf has since announced the results of the election as follows:

Almamy Kabele Camara (Guinea): 37

Kwesi Nyantakyi (Ghana): 31

Ahmad (Madagascar): 30

Augustin Senghor (Senegal):9
