Preparations have continued for the Zambia Youth Team which over the last month has been training for the game against Mauritius which takes place next Saturday 24 July in Lusaka.
The team will not suspend camp until after the match against Mauritius next weekend.
Premier League clubs are therefore advised to plan for their weekend league fixtures without any of their players in the Under-20 team.
After the round of games against Mauritius, there will only be two rounds remaining to play for the young Zambian squad to seal qualification to Libya 2011 which will serve as qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The Mauritian national team is expected to arrive in Zambia on June 22.
Details of their flight and other related logistics will be communicated over the coming days. As FAZ, we are ready, as always, to host our visitors.
It is our call to the football fraternity to prepare for this match which is pegged at K20, 000 for the Grandstand and K10, 000 for the open wing.
We remain very optimistic that with this time of preparation our boys have had, we should be ready for the two first round games from where the team will proceed to the penultimate round of qualification.
As always our call is for the fans and the people of Zambia to rally with and behind their team so that the boys can do as well as they can.
It is important for us to pick up a positive result from the first leg because these matches are very competitive.
