African Nations Championship (CHAN) golden boot award winner Given Singuluma says his dream is to win a place in the Chipolopolo line-up in Angola and work hard to replicate his Ivory Coast 2009 goal scoring prowess.

The leading scorer of Africa’s newest nations’ championship believes the quality of preparations the Chipolopolo have put in should enable them play well and get desired results to see them progress in Angola.

“We have been working hard and I know that we are not the favourites according to some people.

But we are not worried about that because football is played on the pitch not just opinions. We know what we’re doing and we know that with the preparations we’ve had, we can do great things. The spirit and belief in camp is good and everyone is working hard.

Our target is to qualify and reach the quarter-finals and then after that it is even possible to reach the final. We will fight and do the best to get the results Zambia wants and desires,” Singuluma said.

adding “Personally, I want to score more goals and do well. It is my desire to repeat what I did in Ivory Coast during the CHAN.

I know I can do it and my friends can score because we are working hard and understand each other well. We have necessary skills, dedication, determination and skills to do it. We just appeal to all our fans to support.”

Singuluma netted five times during the final tournament of the CHAN Championship in Ivory Coast as he helped the Zambia Development Team finish third.

Zambia beat hosts Ivory Coast 3-0 enroute to clinching third place.

The Zambians beat Senegal 2-1 in the third place play off after kissing our on the final to eventual winners the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
