Zambia 4-1 Namibia
Sunday 12 December 2010
Classy Zambian youngsters over-ran the young Brave Warriors of Namibia 4-1 to affirm their regional superiority and retain their Metropolitan Youth championship through a commanding display at the University of Botswana Stadium in Gaborone on Sunday.
Zambia has now won the championship a record 5 times.
Zambia romped home with three first half goals to virtually seal the contest at the half-time period. A brace from leading scorer Chakwa Lungu and a goal apiece from Rodrick Kabwe and man-of-the-match Lewis Macha delivered the silverware.
Despite the young warriors pulling one back through Ikwaterua Tjozongoro late in the match, the heirs of the Chipolopolo could not disappoint watching FAZ President Kalusha Bwalya and hordes of Zambians resident in Botswana who turned up to watch them in action.
The team arrives back home Monday evening.
