CONFIDENT U/17 TEAM LEAVES FOR GHANA - Wednesday, September 08, 2010
The Zambia Under-17 team leaves today for Ghana for Saturday’s CAF Under-17 qualifier match against Ghana. The game will be played at the 40 000-seat Ohene Djan Stadium in that country’s capital.

The Zambia delegation has 18 players and the technical team of team manager Greyford Jere, Beston Chambeshi and Osward Mutapa as coaches, Dr Mwila Chipasha and physiotherapist Ephraim Mpanza.

FAZ Executive Committee member Lenny Nkhuwa is the head of delegation.

The Football Association of Zambia remains confident that the Zambia junior team will get a result that would qualify the team to the final round of qualification for next year’s finals, which will be hosted by Rwanda. Going into the game on Saturday, the Zambia Under-17 team carries a 2-1 lead and needs only a draw to progress to the next and final round.

Team Manger Jere told fazfootball.com that the boys were ready and focused on finishing the job against the Ghanaians.
