YOUNG CHIPOLOPOLO TAKES ADVANTAGE TO MAURITIUS - Saturday, July 24, 2010
Zambia (U20) 1-0 Mauritius (U20)

Roderick Kabwe struck just before half-time to give Zambia’s U-20 team a first half lead which ultimately decided the match as the young Zambians won the first round first leg 2011 Africa Youth Championship qualifier Saturday.

Before an expectant sizeable crowd at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, the islanders’ seemed pleased with the final result as Zambia’s youth rued a myriad of missed chances which could have given an even bigger advantage.

Coach Keagan Mumba however expressed delight at taking what he called a precious lead into the return leg to be played in a fortnight.

“The boys did very well. Of course we could have scored more goals but this is good enough to take into the second leg. We should be able to qualify. We will go to Mauritius to play and win because we know that this being our first game together, we can do even better,” Mumba said.
