The Zambia Olympic Team got its preparations for the qualifiers of the London 2012 Games with a 0-0 draw away to Botswana.
While the Zebras were shaping up for a crunch 2012 Nations Cup qualifier against Tunisia this weekend, Zambia Olympic Team coach Lucky Msiska was having a feel of his first international as trainer of the Zambia Under-23 players.
The Zambians dominated proceedings in the first half and missed a lot of scoring chances. The second half was more even and tougher as the hosts attempted to impose dominance.
Coach Lucky Msiska expressed happiness with the result saying it was a good training match for the team. He expressed his desire to build from the draw and mould a strong team that can return Zambia to the Olympic Games since Seoul 1988 when a Kalusha Bwalya inspired 4-0 thrashing of Italy led Zambia to the quarter-finals – the first by an African team.
The Zambian team is expected to arrive in Lusaka on Monday afternoon.
