FOOTBALL HOUSE IN IT NEW LOOK - Tuesday, March 02, 2010
Following a grant of US$61000, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Secretariat at Football House has a brand new look as the national soccer governing body has acquired new IT equipment; courtesy of a development grant from world soccer governing body FIFA.

FIFA has expressed its administration of the administration of football in Zambia and rated FAZ as one of the world’s best performing Associations in the Third World. FAZ is among the best five in Africa and is now being used by FIFA to showcase quality administration, management and running of the game.

The performance of FAZ over the ended two years coupled with the Association’s performing short, medium and long term plans prompted FIFA to give FAZ the grant – the first in Zambian football history designed for IT development which would ultimately further enhance the operations of the Secretariat.

With the donation, FAZ has announced that will donate equipment which has been used at Football House to provincial associations.

The provision of equipment to provincial bodies is another first for football development.

“These exciting developments will further change the face of our game. Never has FAZ run offices across the nine provinces fully automated and equipped with necessary tools for effective communication and day to day administrative work.

We are determined more than ever and committed 200% to ensuring that our football continues on its exciting and wonderful path of growth,” FAZ Spokesperson Erick Mwanza said adding: “We have continued to see implementation of many development programmes on and off the field.

These are a result of the hard work of the team at the Secretariat and the well-articulated vision and development road-map as set out by the President and his Executive Committee. The football family should take delight in these advancements as we take our game forward.”
