Just like his name suggests, the 20-year old Spartak Moscow signing has fashioned his way into the limelight through match winning performances.

Sakala has thrust himself into the limelight in the last few months with scintillating performances at the U-20 Cosafa Championship in December, 2016 and also dazzled audiences during the Total U-20 Africa of Nations where he scored three goals.

The Spartak Moscow player scored three goals at the Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Sakala will bring his European experience going into the FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017.

In his debut season at Zanaco in 2016 he won the league accounting for 10 goals largely from substitute appearances.

At Zanaco prior to commencing his European expedition he had a taste of CAF Champions League action underscoring how valuable the bankers considered him to their continental aspirations.

The Kum’mawa Stars product was part of the Cosafa Under-20 team but missed out on the training camp in Spain after Spartak Moscow came calling.

Zambia is in Group C alongside Portugal, Costa Rica and Iran and will be based on the Island of Jeju.

The opening fixture will be against Portugal on May 21, 2017 at the 29, 346 capacity Jeju World Cup stadium with the second match staged three days later against Iran before concluding their group matches with a tie against Costa Rica at Cheonan Sports Complex on May 29, 2017.

Zambia’s match against Portugal kicks off at 06:45 hours Zambian time and will be televised by SuperSport.
