The defeat was Zanaco’s fifth straight match without a win.

While Power Dynamos assistant coach Anderson Phiri described his team’s win as exciting Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba told in a post match interview that the defeat had placed his team in a position where they will now have to play catch up to stay in contention.

“We were already six points behind Zesco United before this match but now we are also four points behind Power Dynamos. I think that puts us in an awkward position. But all we need is to work hard; to win more games so that we can catch up and by week 30 we might be looking at a different picture altogether,” said Numba.
