Zesco sink Zanaco and open 5 point lead

Zesco United striker Jackson Mwanza struck early in the first half to secure a 1-0 away win over Zanaco and open a 5-point lead at the top of the MTN FAZ Super League following a rescheduled week 14 fixture played at Sunset Stadium on Sunday.

Mwanza benefitted from good link up play between Kondwani Mtonga and Winston Kalengo to open the scoring in the 4th minute.

The victory confirms Zesco United as mid-season champions with 35 points stretching their advantage over second placed Power Dynamos whom they defeated on Thursday evening.
