Lusaka Dynamos thrash Nkana (u

Week 10 of the MTN FAZ Super League recorded interesting results with pre-match favourites recording defeats in five matches played on Saturday and Sunday.

Nkana lost to Lusaka Dynamos while Konkola Blades gave up an early lead to lose at Forest Rangers.

There were also losses recorded at home by Green Eagles and Napsa Stars.

In total, there were 13 goals scored in all matches with 2012 champions Nkana on the receiving end of a thrashing as they conceded three without reply against Lusaka Dynamos at Sunset Stadium.

Conlyde Luchanga opened the scoring on 21 minutes to put Dynamos ahead moments after the visitors had a goal disallowed for offside.

Elvis Kataya then added two goals before the break to stun Nkana who had enjoyed a four match unbeaten run before the match.

Lusaka Dynamos coach Perry Mutapa described the victory as sweet.

"Since we are in the Premier League we know that we are going to play strong opposition but we prepare for each match the same way.

"We do not look at a team's pedigree, if it's Nkana or Forest Rangers we just prepare the same way. We always prepare for a positive result.

"Of course beating Nkana is a bonus; it's a sweet victory because our target is to stay in the Super League next season," Mutapa said.

In Ndola, Konkola Blades failed to hold on to an early lead from Frank Chibuye as they allowed hosts Forest Rangers to take all three points through goals by Joe Besa and Malar Besa.

In Choma, goals by Humphrey Juma and Stanley Banda helped National Assembly to a 2 - 1 victory over Green Eagles whose only goal was scored by Junior Mwila.

At Woodlands Stadium in the early kick off of a double header played on Sunday, Green Buffaloes came from behind to defeat Mufulira Wanderers 2 - 1 in a match in which all three goals were scored by the visitors.

Mufulira Wanderers took the lead on 15 minutes when Felon Sitonya handled the ball inside the area and Moses Lolozi stepped up to convert the resulting penalty.

Green Buffaloes were back on level terms ten minutes later when Adrian Chama's effort went in off Wanderers striker Progress Kalenga.

Buffaloes' comeback was completed ten minutes later, this time it was through the aid of Lolozi whose defensive header beat his own goalkeeper from Timothy Mbewe ' s cross.

The victory pushed Buffaloes from fifth into third position with 17 points, four adrift of leaders Zanaco whose match against Red Arrows was postponed to a later date.

In the second match played at the same venue, Junior Zulu found the back of the net in stoppage time to give bottom of the table Nakambala Leopards a 1 - 0 victory over Napsa Stars who lie just above them on the standings.

Three matches were postponed to a later date because the teams involved had a number of players invited to the national team taking place in South Africa. The postponed matches were: Zesco United vs Nchanga Rangers, Power Dynamos vs Nkwazi and Zanaco vs Red Arrows.
