| Soccer icon and 1988 African Footballer of the Year, Kalusha Bwalya is the President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).
Ushered into the top seat of Zambian football following a landslide victory at the Association’s elective AGM held on March 29, 2008 Kalusha and the new executive is committed to upholding the highest levels of professionalism and attaining levels of distinction for Zambian Football.
In his post election statement, Bwalya, who was rated FIFA 14th Best Player in 1996 and today serves on the world soccer governing body’s administration board; “Together, we will take Zambian Football into a new dawn both on an off the field; Nationally, Continentally and globally and restore our status as a powerhouse in Africa.”
Bwalya, who played for former European champions PSV Eindhoven enjoyed an illustrious 21-year playing career which saw win a record-setting 100 caps for Zambia, scoring an incredible 50 goals. He was a winner of several awards including the 1996 Nations Cup Golden Boot Award for emerging top scorer at South Africa 1996, African Legend of the 100 years, awarded in 2008.
His Executive Committee is a blend of men and women with proven track records of achievement in human resource management, public administration and business, accountancy and public relations. Between them, the team posses strong values of leadership, handiness and proficiency which should steer Zambian football on a new path of development and success.

A former Chipolopolo international, Emmanuel Munaile has previously served the FAZ as an executive committee member.
He rose to the position of Vice President of the FAZ after the March 29 elections and combines his duties as FAZ vice president with his job as Member of Parliament (MP) for Malole constituency.
“Our commitment to taking Zambia forward is evident in the hard work and dedication of each member of the executive committee. We know the expectations and desires of the Zambian football fans and working to achieve the goals and objectives we have set out, we shall achieve many things working together,” Hon. Munaile said.

BONIFACE MWAMELO
A lush and successful career in accountancy combined with the vibrancy of youth and determination for hard work defines in part the profile of the man charged with the responsibility of providing leadership in the area of finances for the Football Association.
A senior executive at giant mobile phone company MTN, Boniface Mwamelo’s background in the management of local Zambian clubs is an attribute that positions him well for the challenge of transforming the face of Football House books.
“We are up to the challenge and while our eyes are firmly on the ball working to make real our vision, the proficiency of our financial management runs side by side our commitment to transparency, good governance and accountability – core values which define our service to football,” Mwamelo said.

SIMWANZA PIVOTY
If the success of one man’s vocation can be used to define his personality, Pivot Simwanza’s epitomizes business acumen and success.
A long standing servant of the game in the country, Simwanza rode to office on the platform of change and belief that working together in the umbrella of legend Kalusha; Zambian football can go to greater heights.
Says Simwanza: “We know where we are, where we have come from and what we want to achieve as Chipolopolo and Zambia. We are a group of committed executive committee members and with the leadership of the Great Kalu; we will do a lot of things together.”
CHIPANGO KEAGAN
“For us it is eyes on the ball. We know what our football wants, the strategic partnerships and linkages, developments from the grassroots and the need for hard work from all soccer loving Zambians. The sky is not the limit that is why we remain optimistic of greater success now and in the future,” Keagan Chipango, a seasoned soccer administrator and local government leader said.
His rise to national football leadership is testimony of the belief the football family have in his ability to transform the game, work with a dedicated team; in particular his passion for grassroots and youth development.
“Ours is a team for the people, a team for development and working with the people and for the people, nothing is impossible,” says Chipango who is also a civic leader in Zambia’s tourist capital of Livingstone.
NKHUWA LENNY
Nkwiza FC and the array of international talent which has risen and developed at the club to don Chipolopolo colours is an example of the great strides that female leadership can do to football.
Lenny Nkhuwa is the force and face behind that success.
With election to the Football Association of Zambia executive committee she brings with her great determination, zeal, quality leadership and a focus that can only add value to the work of the team and Football House.
“We all know what we want for our game. Our executive, thanks to the Zambian football family and councilors’ confidence and support, knows what path to take and we are on course to working together to achieve many things,” says Ms Nkhuwa.
CHILEMENA MARCHA
“I am a servant of my president and the office orderly of my fellow executive committee members. We are a team who believe in the motto that espouses the vision of the Football Association of Zambia and led by our president Mr. Kalusha Bwalya. Not only has he asked us all football lovers to keep our eyes on the ball, he has made us believe that we can and yes we can do it,” says Marcha Chilemena, proprietor of Telesport Football Club and director of MediaCom, a publishing company which runs SportsDigest, a monthly sports newspaper.
Chilemena, a former broadcaster and public relations practitioner, came into football “because of the love I have for the game and the belief that with this executive committee, I smell history and I am privileged that I am part of at group of men and women who make history for Zambia”.
CHITEMBEYA HENSCHEL
The confidence of his ability and work for football has won him the hearts of many soccer lovers as much as his business acumen has won many clients which have resulted in him enjoying a booming enterprise.
“We have a chance to make history and with the work we have committed ourselves to doing, the Zambian football fans and family can only delight in our work and with their support score even more success,” says Henschel Chitembeya seasoned and renowned in soccer circles from his Ndola base.

A professional human resource expert, Mrs. Violet Bwalya brings to the executive committee and Football House vast experience in public administration.
Together with her zeal and determination to change the administration of the game and move in line with the presidential vision of doing everything professionally, in an accountable and transparent manner, she has confidence the challenge of governing football will bring out the best in her for the good of the game.
“Working together with new and professional systems fully functional, this administration will stand out and Zambian football will be a force to reckon with. We stand on the door of success and greatness and I know that every effort put in will not only result in the Chipolopolo reaching higher heights but with them take women’s football to a new level or development and success never seen before in our country,” she says adding time is now for the football family to unite and set our eyes on the ball.
THE GENERAL SECRETARY
The Football House which serves as secretariat and head office of the Football Association of Zambia is headed by the General Secretary.
The General Secretary is the Chief Executive Officer of the FAZ.
Accomplished sports administrator, media and public administration specialist George M. Kasengele is the General Secretary of the FAZ.
With a new innovation to bring football fans closer to Football House, the Executive Committee in line with FIFA global standard have established a Communications Department. The communications office will work to provide timely and accurate information from Football House and update the general football family on developments around the game. The office will also be the public interface of the FAZ and first point of interaction for football in Zambia both local and international.
